Job summary

Olgam Life in the Bronx is seeking a Day Porter to maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the facility. You will manage inventory, perform light maintenance, and ensure compliance with center leadership and the Facilities Manager.

This full-time role runs Sunday through Thursday, 9 am–5 pm, at $18.00 per hour, with PTO and comprehensive benefits. Some local travel may be required (up to 25%), and work is in person.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret regulations and adapt to business operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage inventory stock for soft goods and supplies at the center.
• Utilize FIFO to manage storage inventory areas.
• Maintain production and employee area waste, including biohazard waste removal.
• Perform light facility maintenance and improvements (e.g., replace signage, paint, change bulbs).
• Inform center leadership on facility needs that may require escalation to the Facilities Manager.
• Clean all common areas such as breakrooms, lobby, waiting areas and building exteriors.

The position will support our Center located in the Bronx:

$18.00 an hour

Sunday through Thursday

9 am to 5 pm

Purpose and Role

This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance, overall cleanliness, appearance, and safety standards of the facility. The internal Day Porter will ensure all facilities meet the requirements set by Center Management and the Facilities Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Receiving and managing inventory stock for soft goods and supplies received at the center, both critical andnon-critical
2. 2. Utilizing FIFO to manage storage inventory areas
3. 3. Maintaining production and employee area waste, including biohazard waste removal
4. 4. Performing light facility maintenance activities and building improvements (i.e., replacing signage, painting, light fixture bulbs, etc.)
5. 5. Informs center management on facility needs that may require escalation to the Facilities Manager.
6. 6. Clean all common areas such as breakrooms, lobby, waiting areas, and perimeters of the outside of the building. 2
