Job summary

Olgam Life is seeking a Phlebotomist to support donor collection at our plasma centers. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, venipuncture, donor monitoring, and ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

Position offers training, hourly pay of $23, and shift options from early morning to early evening with two days off. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and PTO after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a regulated environment.
• Minimum 6 months experience performing phlebotomy in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Reviews donor records for donation suitability.
• Performs donation set-up activities.
• Performs venipuncture for donation.
• Performs phlebotomy for whole blood sample draws.
• Determines vein suitability for donation.
• Monitors donors during donation process.
• Manage donor reactions and respond immediately to safety concerns.
• Troubleshoot pheresis equipment.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning and restocking as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Olgam Life is a plasma donation service offering state-of-the-art treatment of donors while providing life-saving resources for the medical industry. Our commitment to the highest standards is absolute, from the time the client walks in the door to the moment the plasma leaves our facility. Olgam Life focuses solely on the aggregation aspect of the donation process, enabling us to focus more closely on the care our donors receive.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the processes of collection preparation, phlebotomy, venipuncture site care, monitoring, reaction management, and donor release of all donors that present to an Olgam Plasma Center location. The Phlebotomist will ensure donation safety while donating, and follow all federal, local, and organizational standards related to this determination.

Free Paid Training at minimum wage

Hourly Pay Rate: $23 / HR

Hours: 5:30 am to 2 pm and/or 11:30 am to 8:00 pm

Days off: Saturday plus one other weekday

Benefits/PTO will be offerred after 60 days of employment

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs routine equipment cleaning and supply restocking as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 1 years' experience working in a regulated environment is preferred
• A minimum of 6 months' experience performing phlebotomy in a clinical setting is preferred
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professional communication and the ability to inform and report appropriately to management
• Scheduling flexibility to ensure appropriate center support and coverage
• Ability to execute multi-step technical driven tasks
• Familiarization with electronic systems/platforms used to organize, track, and execute tasks
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Required Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent such as a GED.
