Job summary

Royal Living Memphis LLC is seeking a diligent Houseman/Porter to keep hotel public areas and back-of-house spaces clean, welcoming, and safe. You will scrub, sweep, mop, vacuum, and restock supplies to ensure a pristine environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, dusting fixtures, reporting maintenance needs, and assisting with deep-cleaning projects as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with hotel cleaning or janitorial work preferred.

Houseman/Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of hotel public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities. The janitor ensures guests and employees enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize hotel lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other public areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces.
• Clean glass doors, mirrors, and windows.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to management.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of supplies.
• Support housekeeping and maintenance departments when required.
