Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is hiring a Facilities Technician (Porter/Groundskeeper) at Arlo in Phoenix, AZ. You will contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the grounds and interiors while delivering exceptional resident service.

The role includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a base pay range of $19.00-$20.00 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively with team members and residents.
• Prior experience as groundskeeper/porter desirable.
• Basic written and verbal English understanding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and work areas.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, exteriors, dumpsters, parking lots, and buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds and vacant apartments before make-ready.
• Complete opening and closing duties including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily/weekly/monthly cleaning of pools, playgrounds, lighting, breezeways, and grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks including power washing and exterior painting.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of community grounds.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $19.00- $20.00/hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work cohesively as a part of a team.
• Ability to interact positively and courteously with team members and residents.
• Prior experience working as groundskeeper, landscaper, porter, or related position is especially desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, and work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, dumpster areas, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from exterior grounds, trash containers, and vacant apartments prior to make-ready process.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including property walks and landscaping assessments.
• Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and upkeep of pool(s), tot lots, light fixtures, breezeways, amenity areas and BBQ grills.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including power washing, light exterior painting of speed bumps, curbs etc.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of community grounds.
