Habitat America, LLC is seeking a full-time Porter/Groundskeeper in Fredericksburg, Virginia, for Riverwoods of Fredericksburg Apartments! Riverwoods at Fredericksburg is a 187-unit apartment community located just outside of Old Town Fredericksburg. This fast-growing property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region.

This position requires basic entry-level maintenance experience. The Porter must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities include maintaining the building and grounds, assisting Maintenance Technicians, supporting unit turnovers, handling technical maintenance tickets, and participating in on-call rotations. The Porter reports directly to the Community Manager. The hourly wage depends on experience.

Job Requirements

• Energetic, self-motivated individual capable of working as part of a team
• Basic maintenance experience is preferred but not required; skills in painting, drywall, electrical, and plumbing are a plus
• Professional and pleasant demeanor at all times
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Extensive mobility and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations as needed
