Job summary

Grand Junction Subaru in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Service Porter to maintain the dealership’s appearance, move vehicles, and deliver exceptional customer service. This entry-level role offers training, growth, and a clear path into automotive careers.

You’ll assist with vehicle movement across service lanes and lots, keep the premises clean, and support the sales and service teams while following safety policies and procedures. Valid license required.

Qualifications

• Physically able to drive and move vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain the lot's appearance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role or automotive industry is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move and park vehicles in the dealership premises and to maintain flow of traffic.
• Drives vehicles to and from service lanes, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Keep the dealership lot, driveways, and sidewalks clean and presentable.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Support sales and service departments with various tasks as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report any accidents.

Job Description

The Service Porter will be responsible in maintaining the dealership’s appearance, assisting with vehicle movement, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This entry-level position is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Move and park vehicles in the dealership premises and to maintain flow of traffic
• Drives vehicles to and from service lanes, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Keep the dealership lot, driveways, and sidewalks clean and presentable
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and directing them to the appropriate personnel
• Support sales and service departments with various tasks as required (i.e., Replenish vehicle fluids and minor vehicle assistance tasks)
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

• Physically able to drive and move vehicles
• Ability to work in the elements (outdoors) for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail to maintain the dealership’s professional appearance
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a similar role or automotive industry is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles is a plus.

Required

• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.
