Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a full-time Transport Courier to support the Pre- and Post-Operative Departments. You will transport and escort patients to and from beds and treatment areas using safe transfer techniques, assist clinical staff, and help move equipment, specimens, and schedules around the hospital.

No prior experience is required, though hospital experience is preferred. You will maintain clean and safe transport equipment, answer calls, and sometimes run errands outside

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Summary:

POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS :

• High School Diploma/GED
• BLS/CPR certification must be completed within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities:

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others. Considers mission, vision and values in developing services, standards and practices
• Performs transport duties for the department as necessary.
• Establishes, maintains and revises record keeping and filing systems, ensuring confidentiality of information.
• Consistently is attentive to detail, when delivering paperwork
• Distributes mail in a timely manner.
• Accepts and screens telephone calls and routes calls appropriately; promptly and graciously responds to calls and visitors and determines the urgency of the situation; suggests appropriate referrals or informs management when the situation warrants immediate attention.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:

JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE :

No experience required, however, experience working in a hospital or health care setting is preferred.
