Now Hiring: Maintenance Porter (Full-Time M-F)

Supporting 1 Active 55+ Community in Franklin, WI

Help Create Beautiful Spaces Where Residents Thrive

Imagine being part of a team that helps create a vibrant, welcoming community for active adults 55+! Be a part of a place where residents enjoy their surroundings every single day. That’s exactly what you’ll do as a Maintenance Porter supporting this well-maintained multifamily community.

Step into a role where your work makes a visible difference every day. As a Maintenance Porter, you’ll help keep this vibrant 55+ community looking its best—creating clean, welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces residents are proud to call home. This is a hands‑on, primarily outdoor position with plenty of movement, especially during the summer months when grounds work is key.

No experience? No problem. If you’re reliable, enjoy staying active, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we’ll give you the training and support to succeed. You’ll also gain exposure to basic maintenance work while working alongside a supportive team—making this a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and grow.

Requirements

The Role - aka The MVP of First Impressions

As our Maintenance Porter, you’re the reason residents (and prospects) say “WOW” when they walk the property.

You’ll be part maintenance, part detail expert, part cleanliness champion—and a huge part of what makes our community shine.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and on point

  • Is reliable, self-motivated, and doesn’t need to be micromanaged

  • Notices the little things (because they matter)

  • Likes staying active—this is not a desk job

  • Works well solo and with a team

No property experience? No problem. If you’ve got a strong work ethic—we’ll teach you the rest.

What You’ll Be Doing

>>> Community Upkeep (Your Main Mission)

  • Keep the grounds clean, polished, and free of trash and debris

  • Maintain curb appeal across the properties (because first impressions = everything)

  • Walk the community daily (you will be at different sites throughout the week) to spot anything out of place

  • Vendor tours and escorting throughout communities as needed

  • All other duties as assigned

>>> Amenities

Our amenities are a BIG deal—so you’ll help keep them looking fresh:

  • Keep fitness centers spotless and equipment looking sharp

  • Tidy up billiards areas, lounges, picnic/grill areas, and other common spaces

  • Help maintain outdoor game areas so they’re always ready for use

  • Make sure the dog walk areas stay clean and enjoyable for our four‑legged residents

>>>Light Maintenance Support

  • Assist the maintenance team with basic tasks when needed

  • Report any maintenance issues you spot before they become bigger problems

  • Help with light duties like bulb replacements, simple fixes, light painting, or prepping areas

>>>Seasonal & Safety Support

  • Assist with snow removal and walkway safety in colder months

  • Help ensure all common areas remain safe and accessible year‑round

  • Pull weeds, water flowers, light grounds

>>>Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Be part of a team that actually values what you do

  • Stay active—no sitting behind a desk all day

  • See the impact of your work instantly (super satisfying)

  • Opportunities to grow into maintenance or other roles over time

>>The Bottom Line

If you’re someone who:

  • Notices when things are out of place

  • Likes to stay busy and take pride in your work
  • Is flexible to daily change in environment

  • Has a VALID DL and RELIABLE Transportation

This is your chance to help set the standard from day one!

Please Note: Where we call “Home” is a guarded space for all of us. For the benefit of our residents, co‑workers, and the communities in which we serve, all applicants are required to pass a post‑offer criminal background check prior to joining the team.
