• Remove all garbage daily and clean compactor rooms; sanitize garbage cans after trash removal.
• Set out runners and return them to storage when not in use.
• Snow removal as needed, including rock salt placement.
• Administer the recycling program per NYC guidelines.

Overview: Porter, under the direct supervision of the superintendent or Handyman, as required, is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the residents and employees of the complexes. The Porter will be required to perform basic maintenance tasks. The focus should be to observe and report any areas considered being a hindrance to providing healthy and safe environment for our tenants and their guests.Responsibilities:Sweep and spot mop stairwellsWash stairwellsSweep and mop lobby floorsDust vertical surfaces removing finger marks and smudgesRemove all garbage from building on a daily basis, cleans compactor roomsClean garbage cans immediately after trash removalSet out runners, clean and return to storage when not in use, as required.Snow Removal: Snow removal is conducted on an as needed basis.
