Eastern Janitorial Company is hiring a Mobile Handy Porter to oversee daily janitorial care, facility upkeep, and light handyman maintenance across assigned residential and commercial properties in Essex County, NJ (headquartered in West Orange).

You will drive a company vehicle between facilities, perform basic repairs, clean and sanitize common areas, and report safety issues to management. The role offers a stable day schedule and full benefits for full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with an absolute clean driving record.
• Hands-on experience using basic hand and power tools for maintenance.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Clear English communication and dependable attendance for day shift.

Responsabilités

• Mobile Property Maintenance: travel between Essex County sites to complete maintenance logs and porter duties.
• Light Handyman & Repairs: drywall patching, touching up paint, bulb replacement, lock fixes, simple assembly.
• Basic Utility Care: handle plumbing issues and fixture maintenance.
• Janitorial & Porter Care: clean and sanitize common areas, entrances, and exterior grounds.
• Safety & Inspections: inspect sites daily and report major issues to management.

Eastern Janitorial Company is seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and skilled Mobile Handy Porter to oversee daily janitorial care, facility upkeep, and light handyman maintenance across assigned residential and commercial properties in Essex County, NJ (headquartered out of West Orange, NJ).

• Competitive Compensation: Set $19.00/hr pay rate with weekly direct deposit.

Daily Responsibilities

• Mobile Property Maintenance: Utilize company vehicle to travel between designated Essex County sites to complete maintenance logs and facility porter duties.
• Light Handyman & Repairs: Perform general repairs including drywall patching, touch-up painting, light bulb replacement, lock fixes, and minor furniture assembly.
• Basic Utility Care: Handle basic plumbing issues (e.g., unclogging drains, replacing flushometers, addressing minor leaks) and simple fixture maintenance.
• Janitorial & Porter Care: Sweep, mop, clean, and sanitize common areas, entrances, hallways, trash rooms, and exterior grounds at residential properties.
• Safety & Inspections: Inspect site perimeters and common spaces daily for safety hazards, reporting major facility issues directly to management.

Qualifications Needed

• Clean Driving Record: Valid Driver’s License with an absolute clean driving record (Mandatory for company vehicle operation).
• Handyman & Maintenance Aptitude: Hands-on experience using basic hand and power tools for building maintenance or handyman work.
• Physical Requirement: Capability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift/carry items up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Communication & Reliability: Clear English communication skills and dependable punctual attendance for the 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM shift.
