Job summary

Eastern Janitorial Company is seeking a dependable Mobile Handy Porter to oversee daily janitorial care, facility upkeep, and light handyman tasks across Essex County, NJ. You will operate a company vehicle, perform repairs, and ensure safety and cleanliness at multiple properties.

The role offers a fixed 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff and access to a company vehicle for shift travel.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with valid license.
• Hands-on experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Clear English communication and reliable punctuality for 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company vehicle to travel between Essex County sites and complete maintenance logs and porter duties.
• Perform basic handyman tasks such as drywall patching, touch-up painting, light bulb replacement, lock fixes, and minor furniture assembly.
• Handle basic plumbing issues (drains, flushometers, minor leaks) and fixture maintenance.
• Sweep, mop, clean, and sanitize common areas, entrances, hallways, trash rooms, and exterior grounds.
• Inspect site perimeters for safety hazards and report major issues.
