A rooftop destination in Cary, NC is seeking a Porter to help create a welcoming environment by performing key tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, and assisting guests. The ideal candidate should be courteous, able to work as a team, and follow directions. Previous experience in janitorial work is a plus, although not required. Porter Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Sweep, scrub, mop floors
• Dust furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Wash windows as scheduled
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
• Other duties as assigned

Porter Qualifications

• Courteous and pleasant to all guests
• Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff
• English speaking skills are beneficial, but not required
• Ability to follow direction from supervisors/managers
• Experience working in the porter or janitorial field is a plus, but not required

The Porter position requires the ability to perform the following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds
• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Frequently bending, standing, stooping, and kneeling
