Berger Communities is hiring a Porter for 202 Queen Apartments in Lancaster, PA. You will maintain the appearance of the community, including common areas, grounds, and building exteriors, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, and leasing offices.
• Keep entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds free of debris.
• Sweep, mop, and pressure wash walkways and common spaces.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling; handle light maintenance tasks.
• Assist with turnover cleaning and move-in preparation as needed.
• Report damage or safety concerns to the Service Manager.

Type:

Full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.

What You'll Do

As a Porter, you'll play an important role in keeping the community clean and looking its best:

• Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, leasing offices, laundry rooms, and other shared spaces
• Keep building entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds clean and free of debris
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and pressure wash community walkways and common areas
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and recycling throughout the property
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other interior and exterior surfaces
• Assist with apartment turnover cleaning and move-in preparation as needed
• Replace light bulbs and assist with other light maintenance tasks
• Participate in seasonal property upkeep, including snow removal and salting walkways
• Use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely
• Report property damage, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to the Service Manager
• Assist the maintenance team with property upkeep and other tasks as needed
