Job summary

National Health Care Associates is seeking a Porter to support floor care and housekeeping at our West Hartford site. You will contribute to a clean, healing environment that enhances resident well-being and supports the care team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care is valued but not required; training provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic by nature and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, floor care, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff to maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines and vacuums.

What You\'ll Do

As a Porter, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, Floor Care, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas
• Dispose of trash and waste
