Description
Job Overview: As the part-time community Porter, you will perform custodial and light maintenance duties to maintain the cleanliness of the buildings, amenities, and surrounding grounds.
Compensation: $18 per hour FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrored surfaces
- Wipe down railings, door handles, mailboxes, and other high-touch surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness in amenities such as gyms, clubhouses, and pool areas
- Power wash select surfaces as needed
- Remove litter and debris from the property grounds, parking lots, and garage
- Replace light bulbs in corridors, amenity areas, stairwells, parking levels, and mechanical spaces
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual findings to management
- Assist with minor painting, patching, or touch-ups
- Replace ceiling tiles, doorstops, and hardware as needed
- Conduct daily inspections of common areas and report any damage or maintenance needs
- Support the maintenance team with tasks
- Ensure storage rooms and janitorial closets are clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude
- Follow safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Keep accurate records of daily duties and report completed tasks
- Assist in setup and breakdown for building events or meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:- Detail oriented
- Outstanding communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills resulting in strong working relationships
- Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively
- Able to follow oral and written directions, keep accurate records, fill out logs and journals, and perform administrative operational functions.
Education and Experience:- One (1) year experience of janitorial or custodial work is highly preferred
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Physical Requirements:- Stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time may be required
- Able to safely lift up to 40-50 pounds following appropriate safety procedures
Work Location: Optima Biltmore Towers; 4808 N 24th Street Phoenix, AZ 85016
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 12p – 5p.
