Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to support auto repair operations, including pre-washing customer vehicles and keeping the shop and offices clean. You will help move vehicles to sublet locations and maintain a tidy work environment.

Daily responsibilities include WOW plan execution, interior/exterior vehicle cleanup, and parking lot upkeep. An automotive background and a valid driver's license are helpful for rapid integration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Clear close vision required.
• 18 years or age or older.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Job Description: The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Compensation Details: $14 - 19/ Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
