Related Affordable in Manhattan’s Chelsea area seeks a Local 32BJ Union Porter for a 144-unit multifamily community. You will perform upkeep, assist in unit prep, and support the maintenance team while delivering excellent resident service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year Porter/groundskeeper experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to join Local 32BJ. Union benefits and a comprehensive PTO package are provided.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform upkeep and janitorial duties so that your property is always in great condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds.
• Learn new skills and work closely with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities.
• Engage in minor maintenance work in coordination with building maintenance team.
• Assist in preparation of vacant units with maintenance team.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents while performing job duties.
• Inspect property and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality.
• Perform snow removal and/or landscaping as needed.
• Maintain building supplies and inventory in proper condition.
• Communicate with management to address safety concerns as needed.
• Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
• Required Schedule: Ability to work one or more of the following schedules, based on staffing availability and operational needs:
• Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Anticipated Salary Range

• $24.62 / hour
• Weekly Pay
• Benefits and Paid Time Off administered by Local 32BJ union

This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.
