$21.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $21-28/hr based on experience.

Position Overview:

Looking for a reliable and dedicated Porter to join our team at a modern, high-traffic building. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness and order throughout the building, ensuring that common areas, hallways, and other spaces are kept spotless. This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to high standards of cleanliness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Porter will also assist with the overall upkeep of the building and support the maintenance team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and restrooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Trash & Recycling: Empty trash and recycling bins in common areas and tenant apartments, ensuring proper disposal and cleanliness.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas and public spaces, maintaining a clean environment.
• Assist with Maintenance: Support the maintenance team with various tasks, including minor repairs and light-duty work, and assist with move-ins or move-outs.
• Safety & Presentation: Ensure the building is visually appealing and well-maintained, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
• Support with Special Projects: Assist with special projects and cleaning tasks as directed by management.
• Tenant Interaction: Provide courteous, professional service when interacting with tenants and visitors, addressing their needs when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a porter or janitorial role is preferred, particularly in residential or high-traffic buildings.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and proactive with a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to take on additional tasks as needed.
