Job summary

Gabrielli Truck Sales in the Bronx, NY is seeking an entry level Porter/Shop Helper to assist technicians, keep the shop clean, and perform road tests on repaired vehicles.

Responsibilities include cleaning inside/outside the facility, basic maintenance tasks, oil/filters changes, and test driving after service. Must have a valid CDL, be able to lift 70 lbs, HS diploma or GED, be authorized to work in the US, and be available weekends/evenings.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check, per requirements.
• Be able to lift up to 70 lbs and frequently stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and additional shifts as assigned.
• Must have minimum tools to perform maintenance and repair work.
• Motivated, proactive, focused and well organized.
• Maintain high level of professionalism.

• Eventually performing scheduled maintenance including changing oil, filters, checking lights, tires & greasing, replace or repair light components and perform operations check
• Perform road test on vehicles after repair

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver’s license and pass and Motor Vehicle Record check
• Be able to lift up to 70 lbs., frequently stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk, use of fine manipulation skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and additional shifts as assigned
• Must be available to willing to adapt
• Must have minimum tools to perform the maintenance and repair work
• Be motivated, proactive, focused and well organized
• Maintain high level of professionalism.
