Major Food Group is seeking a Porter/Dishwasher for THE GRILL in New York. The role focuses on keeping Back of House and Front of House areas clean, washing and sorting dishes, and maintaining sanitation across kitchen spaces.

It takes great inspiration from history; both the time the Seagram Building was built and the restaurants that existed at that time. It is the precursor to the NY Steakhouse, when things were still intricate and elegant. It celebrates all the animals of the land and some of our favorites from the sea. There is extensive table side preparation and service. There is also extensive use of THE GRILL. It is the name of the restaurant, the style of restaurant, and the piece of equipment we use in the kitchen for many of our signature preparations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain cleanliness of Back of House and Front of House areas
• Clean and sort all dishes and flatwear
• Mop and take out trash as necessary
• Wash and disinfect appliances, display case, work surfaces, floors, walls

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 0-1 years experience as a Porter, Dishwasher, Janitor, or similar role. Dependable, hard-working, and punctual a must
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Night-shift availability, 5pm to 1am

COMPENSATION

Hourly - $23.00 - $25.00
