Job Description: Porter (Jetro/Restaurant Depot)

Summary

The porter is responsible for ensuring all key areas in the warehouse are clean and safe for all customers and employees. This includes handling any liquids or substances that may pose a hazard. The porter must maintain all sanitation and cleaning logs with routine daily verification and ensure all cleaning equipment complies with our company HACCP program. Additional tasks may include minor facility touchups, cleaning wet pallets, and general maintenance as assigned by the branch manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• General sweeping of interior and exterior premises.
• Cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, windows, doors, and coffee area.
• Maintaining trash containers and operating trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machine.
• Cleaning spills and employee break room as scheduled.
• Assisting with aisle cleaning and ensuring HACCP guidelines and logs are followed.
• Supporting management with other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of basic sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to operate floor machines, balers, and compactors is helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
