Job summary

Tntx, Llc is seeking a Vehicle Porter to support the Service Department by moving vehicles around the lot and assisting with customer requests related to service pickups and drop-offs.

The role requires safe driving, attention to vehicle condition, and clear communication with service staff and customers. A valid driver's license is preferred, along with an AA degree or equivalent. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, road signs, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisor and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles to be serviced by putting down mats and plastic to protect interiors and communicating to service personnel of issues with the vehicle.
• Moving vehicles not currently being serviced and keeping an orderly area so that vehicles can be easily found and moved.
• Using good judgement and safe driving skills while being courteous to customers.
• Shuttling customers to their homes, places of business or designated area and then picking them up after their vehicle is serviced in a timely manner.
• Maintaining the vehicle’s appearance and notifying the manager if the vehicle requires servicing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Purpose of Position

The Porter works with the Service Department moving vehicles around the dealership lot and retrieving vehicles to and from customers when service is needed or completed

• Moving vehicles not currently being serviced and keeping an orderly area so that vehicles can be easily found and moved.
• Using good judgement and safe driving skills while being courteous to customers.

Preferred Education

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
