Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking a Porter in Lexington, KY to support vehicle repairs by cleaning and preparing vehicles for delivery. You will help maintain shop and office cleanliness and be part of a team that values quality service.

This role emphasizes reliability, customer care, and a strong work ethic within a busy automotive environment. You will perform pre-wash and post-repair cleanup, transport vehicles to sublet locations, keep parking areas tidy, and assist with general maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a busy shop environment.
• Automotive experience preferred to assist repairs and cleaning.
• Must have clear close vision for vehicle inspection.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Maintain daily interior office housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Keep production area neat; dispose of waste and organize tools.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles after repairs.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
