Job summary

The Boyd Group in Cleveland, TN is seeking a Porter to keep customer vehicles clean and ready for delivery while maintaining the shop and office areas. You will pre-wash vehicles before repairs and perform post-repair cleaning of exteriors and interiors.

Responsibilities include interior and exterior housekeeping, transporting vehicles to sublet locations, and ensuring parking lots and work areas remain neat. A valid driver’s license and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Clear close vision required.
• 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the office interior including daily garbage, floors, and dusting.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of production area interior, waste disposal, tools organization.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds, including shoveling sidewalks as needed.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask

Compensation Details

$13 - $17 / Hour

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
