Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking a Porter in Albany, GA to clean customer vehicles before delivery and maintain the cleanliness of the shop and offices. You will perform pre-wash and post-repair cleaning, and help with vehicle movements to sublet locations as required.

Strong attention to detail and reliable, friendly service are essential. A high school diploma is preferred; a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; automotive experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Multitasking ability; automotive experience preferred; valid driver's license; 18+.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily housekeeping of the office interior, including waste disposal and dusting.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs and exterior/interior cleanup after repairs.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs as needed.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat, orderly fashion.
• Support WOW plan execution in daily operations.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

High School diploma / GED preferred

Ability to multitask; Automotive experience preferred; Clear close vision required; 18 years or age or older; Valid Driver's license; Strong attention to detail.

Compensation Details

$12 - 17/ Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. Supplemental Pay: This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
