Job summary

BH Management, LLC is seeking a full-time Porter in Houston to maintain exterior grounds and interior common areas and to deliver courteous service to residents. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and professional presentation across all property areas.

Responsibilities include trash outs after move-outs, pool area upkeep, posting notices, and assisting with routine maintenance. A lift of 50 pounds and occasional overtime/on-call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or janitorial work preferred.
• Basic knowledge of interior/exterior maintenance and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and perform simple repairs.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Monday–Friday with possible overtime and on-call rotation.

Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.Essential Job Functions:The Porter’s primary responsibility is to maintain the condition of the exterior grounds and common areas of the property, plus the interior common areas.Assists with trash outs after move-outs, when applicable.Responsible to maintain the condition of the exterior grounds and common areas of the property, plus the interior common areas. Examples include, but are not limited to: trash chute, trash compactor, landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, buildings and gutters.Responsible for overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.May assist with cleaning and maintaining the pool and surrounding area.Post notices to vacate and other community communication, if applicable.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications/Skills:Previous knowledge of grounds maintenance, landscaping and/or general maintenance/janitorial experience preferred.Working knowledge of basic interior/exterior maintenance, hand tools and cleaning equipment.Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair preferred.Basic computer skills/knowledge required to perform job functions.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary).
