Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate in Houston, TX is hiring maintenance staff to keep units and common areas clean and safe. You will prepare vacant units for occupancy, clean leasing offices and amenities, and maintain inventory and equipment across properties.

The role requires basic reading and communication skills, adherence to safety policies, and responsive service to residents and management. This position is on-site with a supportive team culture and opportunities to grow within PeakMade Real Estate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and basic numbers. Ability to speak simple sentences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant units for occupancy and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Clean the leasing office, amenity areas, laundry facilities and other common areas daily or as scheduled by the Manager.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment owned by the property/management company.
• Provide courteous, efficient responses to resident and management requests; report unusual or extraordinary circumstances.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

• Preparing vacant units for occupancy as necessary. Ensure a professional appearance at all times.
• Cleaning the leasing office, amenity areas, laundry facilities and other common areas on a daily basis, or as scheduled by the Manager.
• Maintaining inventory, supplies, and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
• Providing courteous, efficient response to resident and management requests. Reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Adhering to OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Activities

Requires frequent lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds when using machinery and equipment for essential maintenance tasks, including but not limited to installing outside air conditioning units. Requires frequent bending and/or stooping to access equipment and machinery necessary for essential maintenance tasks. Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of cleaning fluids and tools.
