Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Porter at the Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove, CA. The role covers janitorial duties for garages and surface lots, daily cleaning and maintenance, and customer interaction on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience with general facility maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain garages and surface lots daily through cleaning and upkeep.
• Sweep, wipe surfaces, empty trash, replace light bulbs, painting as needed.
• Operate garage floor sweeper or scrubber to keep floors clean and safe.
• Complete daily maintenance duties per checklist in a timely manner.
• Greet customers by name, respond promptly to inquiries, and resolve issues.
• Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and lots.
• Assist customers via intercom, in lobbies, lanes and parking office.
• Promote excellent customer service with a friendly, helpful attitude.

The Details:

• Position: Porter
• Location: Great Wolf Lodge - Garden Grove, CA
  
• Schedule: Saturday & Sunday - 7am-3:30pm, - Occasional some weekdays 7am-3:30pm
• Hourly: $18.90/hr

The Spirit of the Position:

The Porter is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots ensuring they are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Interface with customers, handle disputes, provide effective communication between departments, co-workers, customers and clients.

Principal Job Duties:

• Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots - sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting etc.
• May need to operate garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure floors are clean and safe.
• Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely.
• Greet customers using name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garages and surface lots.
• Assist customers as needed over intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office.
• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Requirements:

• Able to pass Background and Drug Screening

Experience:

• Experience with general facility maintenance preferred.
• Experience in customer relations.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 30 pounds.
