B.HOM Student Living in Ames, IA is seeking a reliable Porter to maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our community on-site. You’ll support daily groundskeeping, cleaning, and property upkeep to ensure strong curb appeal and a welcoming living environment for residents.

You’ll inspect outdoor areas daily, assist with light maintenance, and help with resident communications and notices. If you take pride in a tidy property and enjoy teamwork, this role offers stable hours, on-site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning tools and maintenance equipment.
• Reliable transportation for on-call or emergency needs.

Responsibilities

• Grounds & Property Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the property, inspect exterior areas, remove trash, and manage waste areas.
• Curb Appeal & Maintenance: Assist with landscaping, painting curbs, light maintenance tasks, and exterior touch-ups.
• Amenity & Common Area Care: Clean and maintain clubhouse, offices, and amenity spaces; keep pool area clean and compliant with logs.
• Resident Experience: Deliver excellent customer service, create a safe and welcoming environment, and post notices or communications as needed.
• Additional Responsibilities: Support operations and special projects; perform other duties as assigned.
