Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor at our Portal Mine operations. You will lead safe maintenance activities for mobile equipment and support the Maintenance Superintendent to achieve reliability and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Ten years of verifiable maintenance experience.
• Five years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience in a planned maintenance environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Professional communication skills with all levels of employees.
• Strong leadership and influence skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.

As part of the Underground Mobile Maintenance team, the successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance service activities operate within safety, security, and environmental policies and regulations to protect the employees and assets of the company

Responsibilities:

• Lead the safe execution of maintenance activities for various types of equipment (mobile)
• Support the objectives of mine maintenance with the Maintenance Superintendent
• Supervise the maintenance supervisors and planning of their career development
• Ensure that all maintenance service activities operate within safety, security, and environmental policies and regulations to protect the employees and assets of the company
• Participate in maintenance planning processes
• Ensure that departmental condition monitoring and reliability objectives are met
• Administer company policies and procedures
• Support operational objectives by minimizing risks and maximizing value. focusing on cost management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum ten (10) years of verifiable and related maintenance experience required
• Five (5) years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Experience in a planned maintenance environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics required
• Professional communication skills with various levels of employees both verbally and in writing required
• Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others required
• Performance of the essential job functions required
• Team based work skills required
• Proficient with basic computer software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), required
• Valid driver's license, require
• Commitment to developing and maintaining a safe work culture, require
• Able to drive manual transmission mine tractor and other company vehicles (vans and trucks), required
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
