Portable Climate Solutions Sales Representative

Job Purpose

A Herc Portable Climate Solutions Sales Representative will drive revenue within their designated territory by developing business relationships and providing customer‑focused solutions to resolve climate and remediation challenges. As a subject matter expert, the representative consults customers on our fleet of portable generators, HVAC and heating units, desiccant dehumidifiers, industrial fans, and air scrubbers.

What You Will Do

• Daily territory management to gain new accounts and meet or exceed rental revenue goals through visits to customer job sites and offices
• Develop, plan, and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results
• Cultivate effective cross‑selling activity with existing sales resources
• Carry out direct sales for priority segments, creating effective sales plans
• Identify customer needs and collaborate with operations to deliver solutions
• Understand market conditions and competitive environment to maximize pricing opportunities
• Optimize product and service offerings to diversify the customer base and reach additional market segments
• Make formal presentations to customer decision‑makers and educate them on equipment
• Coordinate implementation and maintenance of new services for customers
• Report sales activity through CRM and other tools
• Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, prioritizing the safety of team members and customers
• Support all team members
• Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols

Requirements

• Experience within the equipment rental industry and/or pump, power, and climate control market highly desired

Pay Range

Base: $45,000 – $50,000 + Uncapped Commission & Company Vehicle
