Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard - Port Terminal Screener in Tampa for a part-time role on a 6AM–5PM schedule. Compensation is $18.00 per hour. The position involves protecting clients across industries and performing safety/security procedures with an emphasis on customer service.

Responsibilities include responding calmly to incidents, conducting patrols, and adhering to site-specific policies and emergency protocols, with background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; valid driver’s license for driving positions

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; equipment and conditions vary by client site
