Job summary

Enstructure is hiring General Laborer / Lift Truck Operators to support terminal and cargo operations at the Port of Wilmington. This casual union role is represented by ILA Local 2076 and involves safe handling, loading, unloading and storage of cargo with training for forklift use.

Responsibilities include moving various cargo types, following procedures, using PPE, and staying aware of hazards. Work is scheduled via a daily hall based on operational needs, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely in an active marine terminal environment.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Will be trained to operate forklifts or other equipment as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties at terminal, warehouse, vessel and cargo operations.
• Load, unload, move, stage, and secure cargo and materials.
• Operate forklifts when trained and assigned.
• Assist with movement of containerized, refrigerated, breakbulk and other cargo.
• Inspect work areas and equipment; follow procedures and PPE rules.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Participate in required safety and equipment training.
• Perform additional duties as needed based on operational requirements.
