Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Construction & Project Manager to lead port infrastructure projects across the country, including the East Coast, Mississippi River, Pacific Northwest, and Great Lakes. You will coordinate engineers, contractors, and fleets from our Guilford, CT headquarters with travel 30-50%.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, proven marine construction and dock-building experience, and strong Excel and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee port infrastructure projects across the country.
  • Oversee the construction of cruise ships docks.
  • Source, interview and assist in selecting marine contractors.
  • Review, compare and present bid packages from contractors.
  • Coordinate utility installation of water, sewer and electric.
  • Develop a project tracker to include key timelines, milestones and budget for each project.
  • Primary point of contact between engineers and construction companies.
  • Travel to project locations before, during and after construction.
  • Ability to make presentations to groups including port partners on status of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
