Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Construction & Project Manager to lead port infrastructure projects across the United States, including the East Coast, Mississippi River regions, Pacific Northwest and Great Lakes. The role reports to the Director of Port Development and Construction and involves coordinating engineers with construction teams, plus travel to project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in marine construction and dock building.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee port infrastructure projects across the country.
  • Oversee the construction of cruise ships docks.
  • Source, interview and assist in selecting marine contractors.
  • Review, compare and present bid packages from contractors.
  • Coordinate utility installation of water, sewer and electric.
  • Develop a project tracker with timelines, milestones and budget for each project.
  • Primary point of contact between engineers and construction companies.
  • Travel to project locations before, during and after construction.
  • Ability to make presentations to groups including port partners on status of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
