Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage seeks a Finance Supervisor to lead the Port of Alaska’s financial operations. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, prepare financial reports, grants, and audits, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements.

You will also oversee capital programs including PAMP, coordinate grant reporting, and monitor debt-related requirements while supporting executive decision-making and fiscal integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 9 years of experience in program finance or accounting; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Associate’s degree in Planning, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related; 7 years of finance/accounting experience; 2+ years supervisory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related; 5 years of finance/accounting experience; 2+ years supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance and admin staff and manage day-to-day financial lead for Port of Alaska.
• Coordinate operating and capital financial administration, budgeting, reporting, and audit prep.
• Prepare grant reporting, reimbursements, and ensure debt covenants and compliance.
