Job summary

Jimmy T. Wood, LLC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wilmington, DE to support port operations. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of automated production systems, terminal equipment, and facility infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, read schematics, and work with robotics and material handling equipment. Flexibility for nights/weekends is required; TWIC eligibility may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in production line maintenance or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, PLCs and robotic equipment (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production line equipment and terminal machinery.
• Maintain and repair Ship-to-Shore (STS) and other terminal equipment such as RTG cranes and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and safety risks.
• Inspect and maintain terminal infrastructure, lighting, power systems, and facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations to avoid disruption to cargo flow.
