Job summary

Amentum is seeking a dynamic Port / Airfield Operations Lead to support the safe and efficient movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and cargo through port and airfield environments throughout the Indo-Pacific in support of Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Min 3 years in port, airfield, transportation, cargo, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Experience supporting cargo handling, staging, transportation, or terminal operations.
• Ability to operate required equipment and be properly certified.
• Familiarity with USINDOPACOM and Indo-Pacific priorities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Active Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Willingness to CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support port and airfield logistics operations.
• Manage cargo receiving, staging, loading, unloading, and transfer activities.
• Coordinate with transportation, movement control, warehouse, supply, and distribution personnel.
• Monitor cargo flow, schedules, capacity, and operational status.
• Maintain accurate cargo and movement documentation.
• Support aircraft and vessel cargo operations as assigned.
• Identify operational constraints, delays, safety concerns, and throughput limitations.
• Coordinate onward movement of cargo from terminal locations.
• Support surge, contingency, exercise, and distributed logistics operations.
• Operate applicable material-handling or logistics equipment when qualified and authorized.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety and operational procedures.
