Job summary

SP+ in Seattle is seeking a Cruise/Port Agent to shuttle between the port and airport, handling luggage and cages while meeting strict delivery schedules. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to perform under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Available to work Friday through Tuesday morning.
• Must be able to clear a background and drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds consistently.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in various outside weather conditions.
• Complete all required training including airport compliance.
• Able to obtain an airport, port, and TWIC badge.
• Vaccination against COVID-19 is required where policy permits.

Overview

Cruise/Port Agent travels between the Port and Airport locations. This position requires strong customer service skills as well as meeting a strict delivery schedule.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, tagging, and loading luggage into cages
• Sealing cages and loading into truck
• Performing daily vehicle inspections
• Driving delivery box truck safely and lawfully on highways and local streets
• Operating radio to communicate with dispatcher and supervisors
• Unloading cages off truck
• Unloading luggage from cages

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Available to work Friday through Tuesday morning

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs consistently throughout the shift
• Experience in customer service preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Able to work in various outside weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.)
• Complete all required training including airport compliance
• Able to obtain an airport, port, and TWIC badge
• This location requires employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to any valid medical or religious accommodation

Appearance Guidelines

• For all male employees a fully grown, well-maintained facial hair is permitted
• Facial hair must be neatly trimmed to one-fourth of an inch in length and may not present an unkempt appearance
• No visible tattoos or body piercings are allowed. Any tattoos must be covered by the uniform or other means agreed upon by management
• Clean and well-maintained approved uniforms must be worn on shift
• Additional requirements as specified by management

Physical Requirements

While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, communicate with customers and fellow employees, sit, reach with hands and arms, stand, and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee may twist, turn, stretch, and bend on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly and move in a relatively quick manner. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
