Sonic Automotive's Porsche West Houston dealership seeks an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance to Porsche standards in a fast-paced luxury service environment.

You will diagnose issues, replace parts, test-drive after repairs, and coordinate with the service advisor. The role requires at least 2 years of high-line/German repair, own tools, and a valid USA work authorization. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of high-line or German automotive repair experience in a dealership service environment.
• Proven ability to perform diagnostics and repairs independently with limited supervision.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and manufacturer diagnostic processes.
• Must provide own tools necessary to perform job duties.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements, including background check, drug test, and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and HVAC work.
• Take vehicles on test drives to evaluate repairs and ensure proper function.
• Replace or repair components; perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with service advisor and parts department to procure parts.
