Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Coater to spray coat medical implant devices at our Portland, OR facility on 2nd shift. You will follow SPIs/MPIs, inspect parts, and ensure traceability and documentation accuracy. Prior Level I spray coating experience is preferred, with attention to measurement tools and drawings.

Prepare binder solutions, review job travelers, and maintain equipment condition while ensuring customer requirements are met. Strong manual dexterity and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous work history required.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, balances).
• Prior Level I Spray Coater experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings for porous coating.
• Ability to use comparator for overlay inspection.

Responsibilities

• Spray coat medical implant devices according to established procedures.
• Review documentation to verify part identity, quantities and coating requirements.
• Prepare binder solutions as detailed in SPIs and MPIs.
• visually inspect coated parts to meet customer requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow SPIs and MPIs related to porous coating.
• Inspect documents for completed operation sign off and verify part counts.
• Perform required maintenance checks on equipment and report issues.
• Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and within date.
• Maintain ID and traceability of product and documentation.
