Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Population Health Team to focus on quality performance improvements in the Population Health area. The role is in-person at the Shared Services Building in West Boise, with a Monday–Friday schedule and typical daytime hours.

You will manage proactive patient outreach to close gaps in care, assist with screenings and care follow-up, and support coordination across affiliated clinics.

Qualifications

• 3 years of MA clinical experience required; 5 years preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification required at hire.
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience required.
• Experience with process improvement or Lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primarily contacting patients over the phone to close gaps in care via proactive outreach.
• Assist scheduling health screenings and follow ups with care after test results.
• Analyze preventive care screenings and gaps in care; assist pre-visit planning.
• Collaborate with primary care teams to support quality performance initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvements for better provider and patient experiences.
