Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Population Health Analytics Graduate Internship to graduate students. The role provides hands-on experience with large healthcare datasets, including claims and EMR data, and supports decision-making within Highmark's Living Health strategy.

Interns will collaborate with analytics and clinical stakeholders on strategic projects, develop analytical and storytelling skills, and contribute to population health initiatives and value-based care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
• Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day-to-day operating objectives and receive guidance from senior personnel.
• Undertake and participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Support planning and implementation of unit projects within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or action proposals.
• Engage in related studies or enrichment programs for the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
