UCSF Health is seeking an Analyst to support data collection, metric validation, and performance measurement across Population Health initiatives. The role emphasizes dashboard development, chart abstraction, and measure validation to drive improvements in care delivery.
Collaborating with clinical leadership, this position requires strong Epic experience, BI know-how, and adept communication to translate complex analytics into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Director, EIA Health Quality, Safety, Ambulatory, the Analyst’s primary responsibilities include data collection, metric validation, performance and health outcome measurement, benchmarking, stratification, and visual presentation of analytic results. The Analyst is passionate about quality improvement and eager to collaborate with key clinical and business partners to identify analyses and reports needed to improve care delivery for our patients. The Analyst works with the other analysts on the Population Health team along with partners in clinical leadership focused on performance improvement initiatives spanning multiple Population Health domains. The Analyst demonstrates knowledge of evidence‑based clinical processes of care related to timely preventive services for adults and children, chronic disease management, and reduction of preventable inpatient and ED visits. This role is predominately focused on report writing and dashboard development along with chart abstraction, measure development and validation for UCSF Medical Center’s participation in quality incentive programs. The Analyst will play a key role in ensuring that accurate and actionable data is reported to both internal and external stakeholders. Through chart review, analysis, and collaboration with analytic and clinical teams, the Analyst will help to demonstrate UCSF’s ability to improve population health clinical outcomes and healthcare utilization.
