Job summary

Sea Island Company on Saint Simons Island, GA is seeking a friendly pool attendant to welcome owners and guests, verify access to the COR pool, and uphold safety rules. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire as a condition of continued employment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group settings.
• Exhibits Sea Island Five‑Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and co‑workers.
• Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively.
• Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes.
• If applicable, must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet owners and guests pleasantly and verify they are authorized to use COR pool.
• Ensure owners and guests adhere to all posted safety rules.
• Monitor and replenish pool towel supply.
• Perform regular cleanup of towels, debris and personal belongings.
• Learn the names and personally recognize regular owners and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work area.
• Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality and timing.
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately.
• Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and area to answer questions.
