Job summary

World Equestrian Center Ocala (Riding Academy Hotel) is seeking a part-time Pool Attendant to support a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment. You will assist guests with towels, seating, and pool-area needs while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

This role emphasizes courteous service, proper reporting of safety concerns, and professional interaction with guests. The Pool Attendant contributes to overall resort operations in a guest-facing capacity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous guest service, hospitality, pool, or resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet and engage with guests in a warm, polished, and professional manner while anticipating needs such as towels, seating, and general pool-area assistance.
• Monitor the pool deck and surrounding areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, safe, and presentable throughout the shift.
• Communicate posted pool rules and safety expectations courteously. Notify the appropriate leader or management when assistance is needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, lounge areas, restrooms, walkways, and surrounding pool facilities, including trash removal, towel handling, and furniture upkeep.
• Set up, arrange, and maintain lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, towels, signage, and other pool amenities according to property standards.
• Distribute towels and collect used towels, restock towels, towels bins, and related guest amenities as assigned.
• Complete opening duties and closing duties with checklists, report maintenance or safety concerns before/after opening.
• Report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, medical concerns, or guest complaints to leadership immediately.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the service standards of World Equestrian Center and Columbus Hospitality Management.
