Job summary

The Club at Kukui'ula is seeking a friendly Recreation Host for Makai Pool to welcome members and guests, ensure a pristine pool environment, and support daily operations. You will engage with guests, help with pool services, and assist with opening/closing duties while maintaining safety and service excellence.

This role emphasizes a warm, charismatic presence, reliable scheduling, and collaboration across departments to enhance member experiences at the Makai Pool.

Qualifications

• Greet members and guests with a charismatic and welcoming attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings during peak season.
• Prior customer service or hospitality experience a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to actively participate in diverse club programming and activities.
• Ability to coordinate calendar events and offer personalized services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, beach area, furniture, and surrounding areas throughout each shift.
• Set up and arrange daily the pool furniture, umbrellas, and equipment; store items properly at close, rake the beach at close.
• Perform routine visual checks of pool conditions and report maintenance issues to the Manager promptly.
• Stock and organize towels, sunscreen stations, and other guest amenities.
• Respond to member needs and requests courteously, escalating concerns to management when appropriate.
