Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking an Aquatic Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, clean aquatic facilities, systems, and water quality. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and preventative tasks on pools and related equipment to support public use.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in aquatics maintenance, and a Colorado driver’s license. You must obtain CPO/AFO and CPR/First Aid within six months of hire; expect outdoor work year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of aquatics maintenance or related experience required.
• Colorado Driver’s license with good driving history required.

Responsibilities

• Assists work crews in installation, repair and maintenance of swimming pools and related equipment and aquatic facilities.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections of equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Maintains and repairs tools and equipment.
• Calibrates and repairs aquatic equipment such as meters, valves, and chemical controllers.
• Performs water testing and chemical balancing to ensure safe conditions.
