Job summary

The City of Aurora's PROS Department seeks an Aquatic Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of aquatic facilities. You will maintain pools, mechanical systems, monitor water quality, and perform preventative maintenance to protect public health and facility usability.

Responsibilities include assisting with installation and repair of pool equipment, conducting preventive inspections, calibrating water chemistry, and maintaining heating systems and pumps.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 2 years in aquatics maintenance or related field.
• Licenses/certs: Colorado driver's license; COP or AFO within six months; CPR/First Aid/AED/BBP within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair and maintenance of pools and aquatic facilities.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Calibrates and repairs chemical and water related aquatic equipment.
• Performs regular water testing and chemical balancing to ensure safe conditions.
• Maintain and operate pool heating systems, pumps, motors, filters, and related controls.
