Job Overview
The Pool & Spa Specialist (PSS) will manage the pool, hot tub, and swim spa division of their location, selling products by understanding characteristics, features, and benefits. The PSS is responsible for effective execution of all pool and spa‑related sales, sales plans, profitability, operating procedures, and merchandising objectives at the location. The PSS oversees sales operations, trains and coaches team members, and captures and follows up on sales leads, closing sales at home shows, tent sales, and off‑site events.
Compensation Range
Hourly: $16.00 – $17.00 (range determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and market data).
Responsibilities
- Drive pool, spa, and swim spa sales performance to meet or exceed revenue and margin targets
- Increase customer traffic and convert leads into sales while building lasting relationships
- Follow up on all leads promptly using phone, text, email, and social channels
- Track performance, monitor KPIs, and adjust strategy to improve results
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, accountability, and adherence to company policies
- Oversee daily sales operations to ensure team alignment, productivity, and effective execution
- Train, coach, and develop team members to improve sales performance and product knowledge
- Ensure team proficiency in selling pools, hot tubs, swim spas, grills, and saunas
- Deliver exceptional customer service, including support with purchases, returns, delivery, and installation
- Resolve customer concerns with a solution‑focused, win‑win approach
- Coordinate with delivery, service, and installation teams to ensure timely customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate knowledge of products, inventory, and promotions to support sales efforts
- Ensure merchandising, signage, and marketing materials are up to date and effective
- Support store growth through events, social media, and local promotions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably with high‑ticket products
- Proven ability to build rapport, qualify customer needs, and close sales
- Strong understanding of the sales process and customer engagement
- Effective time management and lead follow‑up skills
- Results‑driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
- Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills
